Exhibition Statement
Becoming is a solo exhibition featuring artwork by Yani DeBrew created throughout 2025 and 2026. Through abstraction, texture, color, and mixed media, the exhibition explores identity, self-discovery, growth, and personal expression.
The works in this exhibition reflect different stages of my artistic journey and the experiences that have shaped me as both an artist and an individual. Each piece represents a moment of exploration, change, reflection, or possibility within the ongoing process of becoming.
As the first exhibition presented by DeBrew Studio Art LLC, Becoming introduces my artwork and shares the vision behind the studio.

DeBrew Studio welcomes submissions from emerging and independent artists working across a variety of visual art disciplines. We are interested in artwork that demonstrates creativity, originality, technical skill, and a unique artistic voice.
Our open calls are designed to provide artists with opportunities for visibility, connection, and professional growth through curated digital and future in-person exhibitions.
Submission Guidelines
Open to artists working in all visual media
Artists may submit original works created within the last 5 years
Accepted practices include painting, mixed media, photography, textile work, conceptual practices, abstraction, and experimental approaches
Artists must submit high-quality images of their work
All submitted work must be created by the submitting artist
Submission Fees
1 Artwork — Free
2–5 Artworks — $15
6–10 Artworks — $30
11–20 Artworks — $45
Submission fees help support exhibition development, platform operations, curation, and future programming through DeBrew Studio.
Please Note
One complimentary resubmission is permitted if artwork images are not uploaded correctly or cannot be accessed during the review process.
If needed, the Founder of DeBrew Studio may contact artists directly using the email address provided to clarify submission details or request updated images, files, or links.
Artwork Sales & Commission
Selected works may be available for acquisition or direct inquiry where applicable.
Artists retain 75% of artwork sales made through DeBrew Studio exhibitions and presentations. DeBrew Studio receives a 25% commission to support platform operations, exhibition development, and future opportunities.
Community, Respect & Artist Support
DeBrew Studio is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment for participating artists and visitors.
Harassment, bullying, discrimination, intimidation, exploitation, or inappropriate conduct toward artists will not be tolerated.
